Let me Point you in the right direction!!

Does it not look like it's getting pointier!? What is going on?!! Not much new has been going on with baby Sumrall, just getting stronger and stronger. It's kicks take the wind out of me...I swear I have bruising on the back side of my ribs and inside my uterus!! I can already tell its going to have Zach's fiesty personality! And his appetite cause when I eat it gets SOOOOO excited...just like Zach.

Baby Sumrall and I take off this wednesday for Wisconsin...our second trip together. I'm sure I will be very uncomfortable on the plane, especially when I have to maneuver with a pointy belly on a tiny plane in a tiny bathroom, which I'm sure I will visit often due to my tiny bladder!! I made sure to book an aisle seat!! As far as doctors visits go....nothing much new...we have the last ultrasound May 2nd to make sure the placenta is not in the way. I have been very lazy with my workouts because of it so tonight is my last boot camp class, which I'm sad about, but I need to milk this pregnancy for all it's worth cause as soon as the baby is out I have no excuse to sit on the couch all evening watching tv! Tootles for now!!

Sonogram #2

Well Hello again! So, Monday we had our second sonogram...The baby is HUGE! (to me) Last time we went the whole baby fit in the picture, this time just the head! How am I gonna get it out!? Zach was the cutest daddy...the whole time he was over the technicians shoulder asking him what he was doing and measuring and if everything was ok (as I lay there on my back missing everything!) It was a lot harder this time to tell what was on the screen because the baby has grown so much. All you could see at once was a body part like the back or head or leg. At the end the tech said he needed to grab the doctor real quick to have him take a look at something....Zach stepped in front of the door and wouldn't let him out until he told him everything was ok! Poor tech guy. Then the doctor came in who happened to be a friend, so that was weird to lay there looking at him over my belly when i usually see him at a restaurant or event, and the tech had him take a look at my placenta. It's weird how modesty goes out the window when you have a life inside you. Anywhoo, my placenta is resting close to my cervix, which is ok as long as it doesn't cover it. The doctor didn't seem worried and all he wanted to do was talk to Zach about running and the usual chit chat guys have, but poor zach was stressing about what it all meant! So Zach says to the doc, "Give me the worst case scenario." And the doctor says c-section. So, Zach could finally breath. It was so sweet to watch him be so concerned about the baby and I. The thing I look most forward to and I've probably wrote about it before, is how cute of a dad he is going to be! If we have a girl he is going to be so wrapped around her finger and If we have a boy I'm sure the same thing will happen, but with the idea of making him a fishing/hunting/adventure buddy! The baby is still moving all over the place...I really can't believe how much it moves! The other night we were lounging around and I was laying with my belly exposed, I looked down and the left side of my stomach was flat and the right part was sticking out to the side. CRAZY!! Zach reached over and felt it and it was like something out of and alien movie!! Thats about it a thats new...I've lost our camera, so I can't post any pics from weeks 20 up! And things have CHANGED! I'm my own planet! People orbit me! Ok I may just feel that way, but I'll get to it with the pic posts asap! One last thing..... I'm COMING HOME!! My mom and sister want to throw me a shower so I'm going home in three weeks! Cant wait!!! Its the last time I'll be home childless! Weird!! Ok bye now!

Keepin it real!

Wowwy its already been forever since I blogged!! So not much new has happened since last post, so that is why I titled this blog 'Keepin it real'...I'm going to tell you all the joys of gaining weight and being pregnant. ;) I have gained about twelve pounds and it's all in my torso, so gravity is my enemy! I'm usually an avid runner or jogger, but due to the 12 pounds currently resting on my bladder, I have grown scared of anything that forces me to bounce! Bad things happen! For example...I was in San Anton shopping and I was really getting into it not realizing how bad I had to go, then out of no where I sneezed! I couldn't believe it!! How emb, arrassing! Luckily I was wearing black pants! Funny now...horrifying at the time!
I have boycotted maternity clothes, so everyday I wear scrubs to work and love it!! I don't think I'm going to go back to regular clothes...its like wearing PJ's to work!
That's about it for now...I have my 22 week pic and today is my 24th week, so I'll get a pic and post those on the blog asap!

The baby is so active!!!! I hope it gets it all out of it's system before it gets out! Zach has finally felt it move...I've been feeling it for about three weeks now and I'm so happy that he can feel it too! I've been feeling really well...hunger and fatigue are the only symptoms that plague me once in a while...but that happened before I was pregnant, so I guess it doesn't really count. I have the CRAZIEST dreams about the baby and taking care of it. I will spare you the random details, but they are CRAZY!! Our next doctors appt is next week...blah blah...I pee in a cup and leave...boring. Our next sonogram isn't for a month and that's the one we look forward! Its so fun to see it just hanging out, swimming around in there. That's all the news I have for now. OXOX
